Still, I would just like to say some women seem very odd to me (and I’m not referring to Angela Merkel). How can someone call three of their children Donata, Gracia and Egmont?
I find it interesting how you spell “bumph”. Google counts are nearly the same for the version with an f vs. the one with ph, but somehow the latter had escaped my notice.
On strictly etymological grounds, Chris, the bumf has more going for it (reminds me of a story in Peter Ustinov’s autobiography), but I encountered it later than the other.
