The over-forties/Best Ager

Another Neudeutsch term: Best Ager. This has been around for some time. I see that www.proz.com dealt with it in 2003, although some of the answers translated it in the wrong direction. Here’s a model agency for these people.

It means the over-forties in marketing speak. I recommend a Google image search on “best ager”.

  1. Why doesn’t Germany just pass a law that the official language is now “Denglish”?
    There should be a punishment for “Verunstaltung der englischen Sprache” … It should involve a lengthy term of unpleasant toil and at least a painful rap on the nose…
    Makes my blood boil ….
