What this cartoon shows is exactly what I thought when I first heard about the idea of printing the whole Wikipedia. Are all the people in underdeveloped countries that have no access to telephone -let alone the Internet- supposed to understand English? From my point of view, the Wikipedia -and all the ‘wikis’ around it- is one of the most exciting and promising initiatives that have taken place in the Internet in the last few years, but taking it offline makes no sense at all.

Right. And the cartoon even assumes the men can read! (I suppose that’s not very PC of me, but I mean it in the nicest possible way).
