Apparently these have been around for a while. They seem to be a brand from nobilia and to exist in Germany as Küchenhaus.

Kütchen? At least they gave the umlaut its moment to shine:)
I can only assume they think it will be easier for non-Germans to pronounce. I would like to hear some of their failed phone calls. And the umlaut is just there to look German, I suppose.
Perhaps it’s their way of saying: “Our kitchens are so German, even the vowels come with extra settings.”
