Interesting article. Although this blawg is ‘about Eng. law’, French law doesn’t allow surreptitious photos to be taken of anyone, whether private or public figure, without permission. I suppose Princess Diana in Paris was an exception.
If accidentally or deliberately caught in the frame, the UK criminal fraternity also enforces an unwritten ‘image rights’ code by forcibly relieving the photographer of film or even camera.
