Perhaps those who make snide remarks about window boxes would like to see another kind of box. This was photographed a few years ago, so it may have been cleaned up or replaced now.

Like a Jack-in-the-Box, I must pop up again and thank you for the revelation. Up to now, I’d seen only Einlaufstelle in and around Austrian office and court buildings. I was unaware anyone, except Tom Thumb, could run into a box.
Makes me wonder whether “Einlauf” is used to mean “enema” in Austrian German as well…
I knew it reminded of something – I could only think of water running into a bath, though.
I was actually more struck by ausheben and eingelangen.
