    • I’m not sure if this is a serious question, but here goes: four monitors is just an extreme example. A lot of translators work with two monitors, and I know of some who work with three. You would have your translation memory program and work on one, in the centre. The second would be for searching the Internet and dictionaries, and the third would show the original text and format, which the TM program doesn’t.
If you work on one screen and then have to keep changing windows for research, it takes a lot of time and energy.

The file, which I hope is of use to some users, will help you attach two full-sized monitors to a laptop. The laptop screen might not be big enough for ideal work, but you could use the laptop as your main computer and then if you leave home you just remove it from the dock and have everything you need with you.
