Indem wir das Projekt bekannt machen, es selbst nutzen und unsere KollegInnen dazu anzuregen, sich zu beteiligen und einzubringen. Mit neuen Ideen oder Themen, eigenen Beiträgen, Wünschen oder Produkten. Helfen Sie mit.

The general line is: we must all help so we can create a translator portal for all of us. This is the third such mail I’ve received in recent months, all from different translator companies or groupings emphasizing what we need to do for all of us.

This entry looks better, as I am using two Movable Type plugins, Textile by Brad Choate, and SmartyPants by John Gruber. However, if I tidy up older entries too, the difference will cease to be noticeable. Textile lets me do block quotes easily, and SmartyPants gives me typographic punctuation.

There are notaries in the City of London called scrivener notaries who are Latin notaries / civil-law notaries. They are full members of the Union Internationale du Notariat Latin. These notaries are trained in both law and language. They have a five-year traineeship and they have to pass two exams. They differ from German notaries in that they are not integrated into the English legal system – if you buy a house you may use a solicitor, but you don’t need a notary. However, they prepare documents that are accepted abroad. If a UK resident has property in Spain, a scrivener notary can draw up a will in Spanish that is registered in the registry of wills in Spain as if it had been made in Spain.
